Hotel Monte Igueldo

Se dispone de un gran espacio visualmente continuo para uso de salón creando ambientes distintos que permitan usos específicos.  Un gran elemento central, a modo de plataforma, sirve para distribuir y articular todo el espacio. La intervención pretende aportar  personalidad a la planta baja consiguiendo que los espacios resulten más acogedores. Para ello se busca transmitir un estilo elegante y atemporal, respetando la imagen clásica del hotel pero con un aspecto renovado. Además, la atmosfera que se consigue tiene un lenguaje que conecta con la esencia y la vida cultural de la ciudad, vinculada con la música, el cine, la gastronomía, el mar, etc. Para ello los acabados se eligen en sintonía con las vistas de la ciudad y del paisaje, buscando tonos cálidos para los materiales y el mobiliario.

“MONTE IGUELDO” HOTELAREN BERRITZE PARTZIALA. Hotelaren areto nagusia berrantolatzerakoan giro eta erabilera desberdinak jaso ditzakeen jarraitasun bisual handiko espazio berri bat lortu nahi izan da. Aretoaren erdigunean zurezko oholtza handi bat kokatuz, gune desberdinak artikulatu eta antolatzen dira. Proiektuaren bidez nortasun handiko leku erosoago bat lortu nahi da hotelaren behe solairurako. Estilo dotore eta atenporal bat transmititzea izango da helburu, beti ere hotelaren irudi klasikoa errespetatuz baina hau berrituz. Lortutako giro berriak Donostiako hiriaren esentzia eta bizitza kulturalarekin konektatzen du: gastronomia, zinema, musika eta itsasoa bezalako kontzeptuak elkartzen ditu. Hari honei jarraiki, altzari eta materialetarako tonu epelak aukeratu dira, hirirako eta paisairako bistekin bat eginez.

PARTIAL REFORM OF “MONTE IGUELDO” HOTEL. A large visually continuous space is proposed for an open-plan lounge area use, within which different environments allowing for discrete uses are created. A large platform, is placed in the center of the space and serves to organize and bring together all the distinct areas. The proposal provides personality to the ground floor and it turns it into a more welcoming space. In the search of a new, elegant and timeless style, the hotel’s classic image is always respected. The final atmosphere has a language that connects with the essence and cultural life of the city: music, film, gastronomy, and the sea. To this end, the finishes on the furniture and upholstery have been chosen for their warm tones, so as to be in dialogue with the views towards the city and the landscape.
